With anyone reading this article, I bet it is safe to say that everyone wants to be successful or get rich. In reality, about 5% of the people will ever become successful, leaving a huge percentage of 95% of the population never reaching any level of success.

Success is different for every individual. It is not just working harder, but working smarter. Part of working smarter is through personal development. Your income will NOT grow if you don’t.

Regarding the meaning of success, a $4,000 per month income might be a successful life for some, where $100,000 per year would be a total success for another, and for someone else, a million dollars ($1,000,000) would mean a successful life. Whatever it is, there are several things successful people have in common with other successful people.

A personal goal to achieve success is the single most important factor. One of those personal goals should be self-development. The better you become, the better your business becomes, the better your income becomes.

Successful people always strive to learn new things a little at a time, then set higher goals for greater accomplishments. Learning in small chunks is manageable and attainable, without feeling overwhelmed in today’s busy world.

A positive attitude is another factor that successful people have in common. I have never met a truly successful person or a person who got rich who I would consider a “self-made” success that did not have a positive attitude. Reinforcement through self-help education makes positive thinking easier to do and very necessary to obtain the success that is wanted.

These people always look for the “can do” - not the “can not do” side of every situation. “If you think you can or if you think you can’t, you’re right.” All successful people truly believe not only in themselves, but also believe in the reality of their dreams. The operative word here is ‘belief’. Find a mentor who has this ‘can-do’ attitude to learn from.

A positive attitude is contagious and when it is sincere, the people with whom you come in contact with will be drawn to you like a powerful magnet. It is amazing how much easier it is to make money and attract all the other good things in life when a person is of this mind-set.

Individuals who are successful always want to improve themselves through trainings such online webinars, seminars, reading e-books and books, listening to online or offline cd’s or audio’s, or even learning the newest methods on how to drive traffic to their website or other forms of internet marketing. Learning from millionaires or other successful people who’ve already made their fortunes online or offline are the best ones to learn from.

Internet marketing has become the equivalent to the California Gold Rush of 1849. (My 5th generation uncle was there, so I can knew there was something this analogy!) There is so much free information to look at before you buy. You can even download e-books and software and keep it just for looking. Most of these articles or e-books are written by other successful people showing you how because they used the very same ‘tool’ to succeed.

People who are successful constantly seek methods to improve themselves because they believe in themselves and know that success has a price. The return on the investment is small or even a zero, if they do not improve themselves and if they do, the rewards are good to great.

All successful people know they create their own destiny and have this ability over all other creatures. Each person must chose their own fate and control their own lives for their ultimate goals in life.

Get started and grow your income by personal growth and self-development. What price do you want to pay for real success? If it’s zero, that is what you will get. The choice is yours!
